Chris Pinchbeck earned degrees from Brooks Institute of Photography with special focus in commercial, audio visual & nature and from the University of New Hampshire in Environmental Conservation. His stock imagery is represented by Natural Selection, Pan Stock and Arora&Quanta stock photo agencies.
Through his work with Paul Caponigro, John Paul Caponigro, adjunct faculty position at Rockport College, MFA online instructor for the Academy of Art Universtiy San Fransisco and experience leading photographic tours around the country, Chris brings to his work and teaching a well rounded knowledge of creativity in both contemporary and classic techniques.
He has been internationally recognized for his audio-visual presentations and produces both still and video imagery for Post Office Editorial, producers of the Emmy Award winning PBS "Anyplace Wild" television series. He worked as in-house photographer and image consultant for Moss, Inc. in Belfast, Maine, and his commercial and editorial still work is published widely.
He has exhibited and gained recognition for a unique and ground-breaking study in large-scale pinhole cameras using direct positive mediums. This imagery is a powerful contribution in reminding us to appreciate our precious world and communities, both locally and globally.
When he's not making images, Chris finds fun with several unique hobbies including Scottish Highland bagpiping with the Rocky Bay Pipes and Drum Band, rockclimbing, whitewater canoeing, soccer and enjoys flying as a private pilot.
